Live Quietly

 "...aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you..."

~ 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Something to ponder . . .
"Aspire to live quietly" is speaking to my heart.  There is something about the word quiet that joins together with slow.  Busy seems to yield a constant noise that drowns out the quiet.  Makes me ponder just how many times I have already missed hearing the Father because of the busy I've allowed.  

Does your busy drown out your quiet time?

 

Remember to take the time to be intentionally slow and live quietly to hear the Father speaking to you.  As Paul shares in Philippians 4, let's not sacrifice the secret to complete contentment, by being too busy to accept the only thing we need - our Father and His sacrificial gift.
